In the "Alive in Metal" exhibition at the Credo Bonum arts gallery in Sofia, Bulgaria, were presented works by students in the Bulgarian National Arts Academy. These young artists are professor Velislav Minekov's students. Their metal works illustrate animals and the connection betwwen man and nature.

About Velislav Minekov
Velislav Minekov graduated sculpture in 1986 at the Art Academy of Sofia, Bulgaria, in the class of Dimitar Daskalov. He specialized metal design in Hamburg with Prof. Jürgen Birthe. Velislav Minekov is currently professor in the specialty "Metal" at the Art Academy of Sofia, Bulgaria. He is son of the famous bulgarian coryphaeus in monumental sculpture Velichko Minekov.
Prof. Velislav Minekov deals primarily with sculpture and metal design. He helped in the organisation of two exhibitions of his students- "Scrap" (2007) and "Living in metal" (2010).
Prof. Velislav Minekov has solo exhibitions in Turkey and Germany. He participated in numerous international sculpture symposiums and competitions.
